Ballydonoghue 0.02 Templenoe 4.13
Ballydonoghue without several of their established players that included both Colin O'Mahony and Paul Kennelly were very much out of their depth in this Division 5 versus Div 3 clash. The writing was on the wall from an early stage once Templenoe's centre forward Danny Cahalane struck for the first of his two goals after six mins. Ballydonogue's Thomas Kennelly pointed shortly afterwards with what was to be their only score of the half. Templenoe were on top in all quarters with Aidrian Spillane at centrefield causing major problems for Ballydonoghue while also managing to get his name on the score board. Templenoe virtually wrapped the game up at the end of the first half when they waltzed through the Ballydonoghue defence for their second goal. Half time score (Templenoe (2-7) Ballydonoghue (0-1).
Things didn't improve for Ballydonoghue in the second half even though they did have their fair share of possession they made very poor use of it and their forwards coughed up hard won possession much to easily. WhileTemplenoe took full advantage of their opportunities kicking five more points and adding two more goals to their tally towards the end of the final quarter when Ballydonoghue heads were well and truly down. Final score Ballydonoghue (0-2) Templenoe (4-13).
